Hi,

I am wanting to ask if anyone else uses Kleopatra encryption as I can load the keys in Visual cron but when I decrypt the files it just comes out as rubbish files and not what files are actually in the encrypted file. I have loaded both public and secret keys and no error occurs. I am using the Decrypt task and it has no errors but the output is the issue. we have 2 different keys with one strength of 2048 and the other 4096. They have a passphrase with them as well to decrypt and this works outside visual cron. I can not see any special instructions or navigations to have this work. I have the keys loaded under Kleopatra on the system as well so I can use vb script/ bacth files to do the same thing but this is problematic. Hoping to use Visual Cron. V8.4.1 is currently installed.

Thanks in advance
Mike

Hi, are you using Linux for kleopatra encryption? We can not try to reproduce this ourselves as we only have access to windows-environments.

Thanks for the information.
Can you let me know how you encrypt the files/what you use to encrypt them so I can try to reproduce this?

Hi Michael,

We create a public key with the type being RSA. The encription is between 2048 and 4096 bits (we have a key with both of these that we are trying to get to work).
Tick Signing and have a valid until date (a year).
Create a passprhase and then create it.

The files that are encrypted are csv files.

Thanks

Could you link a download to Kleopatra software, as it's a certificate manager? I could not find one for windows, only for linux
