Is it possible to directly copy a file from Linux to Azure in VisualCron 8.2.4 (without using a script).

And if so, does the Linux server require internet access or only the VisualCron server (or is it configurable as to which server actually does the upload)?

We are currently using 2 tasks to achieve a copy from Linux to Azure but are hoping to streamline the process and reduce the time to carry it out:

  • Task 1 -> Using Net \ FTP/FTPS/SFTP/SCP task to SCP a file from a Linux server to a Windows server

  • Task 2 -> Using Cloud Transfer \ Upload file(s) task to upload the file to Azure

Do you have the ability to use a linux/samba share on the Linux device?
We do something similar, but our VisualCron copies directly from a DFS share that is really on Linux.
Hope this helps!

Thanks - that sounds like it would work. Would this mean that only the VisualCron server requires internet access?
