It depends if server is offline or online and how much time left of maintenance.
Normally our servers are not connected to the internet.
If VC validates the license only 2 or 3 times a year, it may be an regular administrativ work.
Otherwise we have to think about a connection to the internet.
Can you describe the rules behind the check interval?
