Has anyone see a job disappear? We have a job that runs on the first day of every month in the morning and I was notified it did not create the report for October 1. I looked and saw that the report was created on September 1 just fine. When I logged into VisualCron the job was no longer there.

My first reaction was that someone accidentally deleted the job so I used a program to search through the VisualCron log files in the "c:\Program Files\VisualCron 4\log\" folder. It didn't come up with any results for the deletion. I then searched for the key phrase "Deleted Job" and it still did not give any results. This job was not updated and I'm very confused at this point. Here are the results when I search for the job name:

2/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
2/1/2009 9:40:41 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
3/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
3/1/2009 9:40:42 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
4/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
4/1/2009 9:42:50 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
5/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
5/1/2009 9:47:56 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
6/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
6/1/2009 9:46:56 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
7/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
7/1/2009 9:46:50 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
8/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
8/1/2009 9:41:03 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks
9/1/2009 9:40:00 AM Info Job started: AMCR - Batch Tracks
9/1/2009 9:41:31 AM Info Job completed: AMCR - Batch Tracks

Does anyone have ideas on what may have happened here? I have created the job again however if someone has seen this before please let me know what you found! The version I am using is 4.9.37.

If sounds strange but if you backup every day you should have the old Job definition in the file.

We perform a VisualCron backup every night at 10:30. I looked in the XML files but did not see the job in there. It only took me 1 minute to create the job again. I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen and if so, what did they find out. It is very strange but no harm done.

Only thing that could have caused the Job from not being saved from the beginning is if there was some problems saving the Job definitions and the Job was only kept in memory. If that server then later was reset it would not exist on file and "disappear".

Actually I just have Peter. I'm on Visual Cron 5.3.1 and when I was editing a task within a job, all of a sudden my jobs disappeared from my view. Asked the I.T. admin who set it up and he was able to login as the localadmin and see my jobs but under my ID, I couldn't. I logged out, logged back in and still cannot see them.

Any clues Visual Cron Support?
Thanks,
Gio
