Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on my issue:

Looking to move to Visualcron from Camelia BJS.

Two things I need to replicate (sound VERY simple)

1. An email immediately if a job fails, detailing the job name and command line output.
2. A daily job report showing all the jobs that were scheduled and if they completed successfully.

I'm sure this isn't rocket science, and I'm hoping someone else has already done this and are willing to share their insight.

Possible?

Cheers,

Hi,

1. VisualCron uses Notifications to provide easy reporting and notification. There are 3 different events you can subscribe to. One of them is if a Job or Task has failed. So, just create an Email Notification. Open the Variables browser to point out the Variable you want and paste it in the email. In "VisualCron Variables" you can retrieve Job and Task Variables.

When the Notification is created you can just open the Job, click on Notifications tab and then select the Notification in the "On error" column.

2. We currently have no "collective" report. You have to perform the same steps as 1. but paste all relevant Job variables in an Email Task instead. You can configure that Job to send that report anytime.
