Two trigger types which I could benefit from right now, although how useful they'd be to the general community is unknown.
The more complex one would be based on SQL data. I suspect this would have to be a polled process, with obvious danger that configured poorly, VisualCron could hammer the database's performance. It would be easy to make an enemy of the SQL Administrator with this, unless some mechanism other than polling was available.
The other idea was to watch an MS Message Queue. It's my understanding that you could achieve this via some complex WMI queries, but a simple signalling method that can work across a LAN without the need for a lot of credentialling would make my life a lot easier. I guess that all the task would need to do is watch a given Queue for message strings.
