I am creating files using the "Write File" task type. The file starts with 3 characters that I am not putting there. They are:



In hex, these are:

efbbbf

This happens with every file that I create.

I am currently running version 5.1.6. We are an enterprise license customer, and I am not in a hurry to upgrade this server since it is one of our most important ones, but, if you advise me that this should fix the solution I will be plan on upgrading it.

You need to change the encoding method for the file. It's on the front page of the task. ascii/us-ascii (sorry not in front of VC at present) is what you will probably need.
