When attempting to import a public pgp key into VC, get the error message "Invalid header line." I have a desktop client pgp application, version 8.1, and I am able to successfully import the key into that program, so it doesn't seem that the issue is with the key itself. It uses RSA.

The headers look like this:

-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (SunOS)

The production server is running VC 4.9.26, but I have also tested this with a server running VC 5.1.6, and get the same result.

I was able to resolve the problem, when I tried exporting the key from the pgp desktop application and then imported it into VC. I'm not sure why that step was necessary - having to import it, then export it from the pgp application, before it could be imported into VC, but it worked in this case. I noticed that the key exported from pgp had a different name and extension than the name of the file as it was presented to us - it also modified the version portion of the header information to reflect the version of our desktop application, rather than the version of our client's pgp program. My guess is that there may have been something problematic for VC with how the key came to us, and when imported/exported from our pgp program, it was able to correct it, and VC was then able to use it.
