Hi,

I identified a few issues tinkering with the client (8.2.1). Not a big deal but annoying ones:

  • When I add conditions in the Add/Update condition set window the clone tool doesn't create the condition.
You can edit all the properties but it doesn't save anything

  • With the customization it seams that the splash screen is not modifed

  • In the connection explorer when I sort by the Modified column it doesn't sort correctly.

Hop it helps!

We could not directly reproduce this. Could you send a screenshot or record with Jing?

Thanks, this has been fixed for next build.

We could reproduce this and will check what is wrong with the sorting. Thanks for the report.

Thank you for your fast reply and corrections!

Here are the steps of the clone condition process (I am not able to post images)
In the Manage Conditions Window add a condition 'test1'
Edit this item add a condition set 'cond1'
the clone this one: the window appear and you can edit 'cond2' but when you click OK
'cond1' is replaced by 'cond2' and if you click ok it will not replace or create anything

I hope this can help a little more

The splash screen work fine but the sort by Modified column not I have the same issue as before

Sorry, we really cannot reproduce this. Please send screenshots or video to support@visualcron.com. Also please note that there is a difference between Condition set and Condition. Condition set is the parent. You can Clone on both levels.

Hi, I just tested the new beta release 8.2.3 and now the sorting in the connection explorer is fine

Thank you for your fast corrections

But I found another issue but this one is a little more difficult to reproduce:
I created a job with a remote file trigger on an ftp server with a check every 5min and the wait for file release checked. When the job starts the FTP download step of this file is fired.
The file name is constructed with a timestamp base on a variable.
Most of the time it works great but sometimes the download fails, the log says that the file is not found.
Maybe it could be that the variable is not correctly evaluated but I am not sure about this.
When I rerun the step all works fine.

For me it seams that the file is being written when the download starts but I can't reliably reproduce this error

Which Variable are you using and where? Please attach screenshot.

I'm able to post the original configuration but here is the same principle:
I have some variables defined in the job
Job Variables
A trigger looking for the file in the variable
Trigger
the configuration of the trigger
Trigger config
and a download task with the same variable name
Task

I have a couple of similar jobs and most of the time they all run fine but sometimes one or two jobs fails and the log indicates: No file to download.

I think the focus should be in the contruct of your own Job Variables. The question is if you use the right Trigger Variables there?

The jobs run fine every days from about two months. But sometimes they don't so the variables should be fine

We just suspect that it could be something with the timing of Variables. I suggest you log the Variable before using them so you can go back and see what they contained. When it comes to Trigger Variables it is very important to use the LastTrigger Variable. That is why we wanted to verify that you used that.
