I have a large file (5GB) that I would like to download via ftp through visual cron, I am currently using Windows ftp via command line and the file take significantly longer to download through visualcron than it does with windows ftp. Visualcron takes roughly twice as long to download the file, this becomes significant because of the size of the file. I am using version 7.5.1 and the FTP/FTPS/SFTP task type and authenticating with a user name and password stored in the visual cron user profile. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you.

I did test a larger file for download and the speed was about 29MB/s. What is slow to you?

Through visual cron I am getting around 2-7MB/s, with the Windows FTP I get closer to what you mentioned 29MB/s.
