We are getting this exception:

Exception in Task: SBSimpleSSL.EElSimpleSSLClientError: Connection timeout (error code is 73730)

Very sporadically when sending emails as a task.

It appears that the email is still sent to all recipients. We can run the same task a second time and it will work. Not sure how to troubleshoot, never used to happen at all. Tried to update to 8.0.4 to resolve, but still an issue.

73730 appears to be related to an ERROR_SSL_TIMEOUT

Presumably something on your server/system running VisualCron is having trouble with the SSL handshake sometimes with your SMTP server.

I can assume Henrik (support) will likely ask you to turn on debug logging and try to reproduce the issue and produce the log.

When it fails, how long time has the Task been running then?

A minute or so. After further testing this appears to be entirely on our side. The message does eventually send, but its being queued up in Exchange so Visualcron is correctly notifying that it's delayed. Sorry for the trouble! I will troubleshoot further and figure out, thanks for the quick replies.

It might be interesting if you tested our beta version 8.0.5 as we fixed one SMTP related issue. You can test this here: http://www.visualcron.co....aspx?g=posts&t=6564
