Hi,

When I open the FTP explorer I can connect to a remote FTP site.
When I click on the red cross to close the connection, I receive an error and the client crashes:

2/2/2016 3:50:00 PM	Err	MessageSending (ToAll) error: System.ServiceModel.CommunicationObjectAbortedException: The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it has been Aborted.

I'm not sure this errorlog has something to do with the crash though...

The client crash happens with, I think, all my connections. Clicking on th red cross will end the client.

Erik

Erik, we could not reproduce this, can you try to install latest and try?

I installed the version from today rebooted the server and tried again.

Still if I disconnect an open connection the client crashes.

Note: The connections are imported from a different server running version 7.7.5

It also happens when I click the cross (right top corner) to close the ftp window. Mutliple connections open is no issue, that's fine. closing a connection or the window makes the error appear.

[edit]
I reinstalled version 8.0.1 and did the same. The client did NOT crash, so something is different here..

Erik

I just installed the latest 8.0.2 beta and the client still crashes when either closing a connection in the FTP/SSH Terminal Explorer window or when closing that window.

To get the client to crash, you have to open the FTP/SSH/Terminal Explorer window, connect to an FTP site, then either disconnect from the FTP site or close the FTP/SSH/Terminal Explorer window. If you only open the FTP/SSH/Terminal Explorer window and close it without having an open connection, the client does not crash.

I just installed the latest 8.0.2 beta and the client still crashes when closing an FTP connection from the FTP/SSH/Terminal Explorer window (or when closing the window with an active FTP connection). Are you connecting to an external FTP site when you try to duplicate this? It should happen every time.

We found a computer which we could reproduce this on. Please try the latest again. Thank you.

Hi,

I've upgraded to version 8.01 and we are seeing some strange behavior when looking at running jobs either from a remote VC client, or running on the server. See photo below.

The job shown below is set to run tasks in order, but it looks to have skipped several task, and also shows 2 tasks running at the same time. If you notice the Last Run time for all the tasks in between, they show to not have run yet today (2/12) but we know that they have run since we have the files/output of those running today.

It looks like the interface isn't updating what's running/finished running as well as not updating the last run time.

Has anyone seen this issue?

Thanks
Matt

Have you tried resetting the Job (Right click, Reset Job) and then rerun so all job attributes are reset?

I'm also seeing that the client is not updating the status from running/ready today. I have a job that I just ran and completed. One of the tasks in that job is still showing a status of Running. I didn't notice this behavior until I installed the latest 8.0.2 beta this morning.
