We have been using VisualCron for most of the year and are very pleased with it. We have started becoming more and more reliant on it and it is essentially one of our production services that we use for many back-end tasks. Since it is now part of our production stack we need to ensure we are set up for disaster recovery. We have automatic backups set, but we would like to be able to have a hot spare running that we could switch to at a moment's notice. How can we do that?

Ideally, we would like to:

  1. Automatically and continuously back up production to stand-by
  2. Keep stand-by disabled so that it doesn't execute tasks
  3. Quickly disable production and enable stand-by when the production server fails

How do we go about doing this?
