I was attempting to test the new functionality decoding .eml data that contained base64 file attachments, I tried both a .pdf and .jpg file, neither decoded correctly. Well VisualCron said everything was good, but the files would not open. I then used the exact same input data, and used an online base64 decoder and both worked successfully. Has this been tested, or there something special that needs to be done to make this work?

thanks.

It codes text files. Not binary files.

Why do you need to encode binary files?

Well, we do a lot of interesting things, and one of them is the ability to take a .eml file, and pull out the attachments, we currently have a process that does this, but have been looking into a more stream lined approach of doing this. Hence when I saw the addition of Base64 decode/encode, I figured I would give it a try. We pull out all kinds of data from emails, from binary to text.

thanks.

Ok, interesting, we could probably add an option for this. I am moving this topic to Feature requests so we can track it.
