It seems like there used to be a way to turn off the "checking for a new version" popup. I'm running 6.1.3 on some servers, and I want VC to stop checking every time the client is opened. Is there a way to do this? If not, can we get an option for it?

Go to the File Menu, click on Manage Client Settings and uncheck "Check For Updates At Startup". Hope this helps...
