Hi

On my 6.14 servers the client looses connection to service overnight.

Complaining about closed pipe. The only solution I have come ut with is a reboot.

The log trows a lot of these messeages:

28.10.2012 00:00:15 Ping failed, ex: System.NullReferenceException:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This happens on both win2003 and win2008R2 serveres, and happens overnight, and every night...the service seems to still be running.

1. Does it happen on same time on all servers?
2. it would be interesting if you compared time on this log and what happens in log_serverDATE.txt at that time

By the way, did you try the Sharepoint Tasks? We would really appreciate feedback on that one - if it works better for you.

Not shure really, as it happens overnight, every night on my 2008R2 server, but it only happend once on the 2003 server. I can not find any traces in server log indicating when it happens.

The server is still running when this happens, it is just the client that looses connection.

The sharepoint task works fine for my file upload to our sharpoint site, so I can drop
the webDAV upload. The other tasks seems to work fine, but I hav not testet them other than briefly.

Any news on my problem with filetriggers on 2008R2?

We have done a lot of changes to File Triggers recently, could you give me the link to the original problem so I can verify?

Hi Henrik

Hi, we communicated by chat, and did a remote session, and confirmed that filetriggers did
not work on file created networkshares, they only work if Trigger when released is deselected.

This was on a win2008R2 server with 6.1.4 version.

I suggest trying the same with 6.1.5. first. A lot of things has changed in that version.

I have tried the 6.15 (beta) version on this server, and it seems to have fixed the trigger issues.

But, the client still looses connection overnight, and a reboot is the only way to get it started again.

This is a big problem, and I would like to get some more suggestions to how to troubleshoot this.

I can send you all loggfiles if you could take a look to se if I miss something.

Yes, please send log files to support@visualcron.com - by the way, why it is so important to have the Client connected overnight (just wondering)?

Hi Henrik

Not important at all, but the client loses connection all together, so it can not reconnect.

Also the tray client.

So I have to reboot to be able to connect again. I will send you loggfiles
moday morning.

The reason is probably some kind of crash. Hopefully we can see what in the logs.

Upgrading to 6.1.5 build 28506 seems to have solved this problem at last....
