I'm having trouble with an SFTP connection. On the same server, I can connect successfully with an FTP client like Filezilla, so I've narrowed the problem down to VC but am not sure what the problem is. Below is the output of the SFTP connection log when trying to connect.

Server key received (RSA). Fingerprint is x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Authentication failed for type 16
Authentication failed for type 4
SFTP Error: 114
Connection lost (error code is 10058)

The problem seems to be that server requires a certificate for authentication. Have you specified a path to a private key file?

No. Where/how do I obtain the private key and how to I specify the path for it?

I should mention that the FTP server owner has only provided me a username and password. A public key isn't used.

I can obtain a connection with Filezilla with username and password only but not through visualcron. Frustrating.

Ok, then I am very sure that you have just typed username or password wrong. Please try to re-enter it. If it does not work you should ask the server administrator what the real error is from the server side.
