After several years of flawless operation i have a problem. Every week or so for the past few weeks I notice that my jobs are not running. The Tray Client is loaded and when I open it the server is running but there are no jobs in the list! Today (31st) I noticed it again and the solution I have used is to import the most recent backup zip which I found was dated 5/26 at 11pm which is the last day any jobs executed. After importing the jobs it runs fine for a few days.

Here is my server_startup log

As you can see it didn't load any jobs the last time the PC was rebooted. It shows my settings load just a while ago as the last entry.

Any ideas?

The only other clue is my server log from 5/21 which says:

Quote:

5/21/2012 9:35:55 PM Debug CleanLocalDB - end

I did upgrade about that time from 5.xx to 6.11 if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

The error at the 21st seems to be related to changes in the database file between 5 and version 6. Somehow the old database has not been overwritten or the new one has been overwritten. This is not the cause for the problem though and the database part seem ok now.

What you need to do is to go back in the logs look for errors. If you zip the log_serverDATE.txt between 21st and 28th and send to support@visualcron.com we can look at it.

I have a similar problem using the VC client (6.1.1).
After running an Office Macro which failed but continued to show it as processing on the VC Client I stopped and restarted the client. Once restarted all jobs have dissapeared. Administrator stopped and re-started VC on the server but still the same problem with my client.

Lez, this seems different. A problem in Client should not affect server. If you still cannot see your Jobs then send similar log files to support@visualcron.com.
