Hi Support

With the latest version of 6.09 downloaded yesterday, whenever I run an execute task defined as 'use shell execute' I get the Interactive Services Detection dialogue which means I need to switch into a non graphics mode to view the message (which is blank).

In my case I have a few Execute tasks defined this way meaning that the message displays constantly. The real problem is that it takes quite some time for the dialogue to display, and when I return back to Windows my graphics are defaulted to 256 colours!

The ISD dialogue reports a windows incompatibility issue (see attached screen shot).

Cheers

The trick is to check "Run hidden". Otherwise the process will try to show on a desktop. This causes a problem in Windows Vista and forward because a Windows service (like VisualCron) is not "allowed" or it is not "recommended" to do that anymore. The reason is security.

What could happen previously in Windows XP is that you launch something from a Windows service with extra Credentials. A "malicious" user could then stop the command window with CTRL+C when executing the process. He would then gain administrator rights. This is why you get this warning.

Hi Henrik

The problem with 'Run Hidden' though is that there is no STDOUT produced, is that right? For now I have disabled the ISD service which seems to have done the trick.
