Hi all, I'm glad to be back. I was in France for a few weeks. 🖐

I tested the new final release (4.9.20) and I have some GUI issues:

- In a lot of screens you are using a 'groupbox'. This groupbox isn't used as a standard. I see blue lines with sharp corners, grey lines with sharp corners, gray lines with round corners or there are not there. You can see this in the server settings screen. Output settings has a big groupbox, Main settings misses the groupbox. At the variable dialog they are grey with sharp corners, and if you open a user defined variable there are grey with round corners. You should look at all the dialog windows, there are a lot of differences. Looks to me that there's no standard.
- The aligment in tabs, like in the server settings dialog differs per tab. That's not nice.
- In the manage PGP Key Rings dialog, I miss a tooltip for export keys.
- In the Add/Edit condition dialog, the title of the groupbox is scrambled, like PaMxkv6M8NaiihIY4pc.... etc
- Personal, I do not like the menubar in the time exceptions, and the fade in this menu differs from the fade in the menubar in the Log dialog.
- If I click on Register in the About tab, nothing happens.

Other issues concerning the application:
- I still have troubles with the network mapping function. If I want to make a network connection to a share, it takes a long time for the add connection dialog is closed. After this is happened, there is no connection added. In the log I see: MessageType: NetworkDrive is not handled! In version 4.9.11 this was still working.
- I used an API AddUpdate for a password change for a connection, but this is changed in Add or Update. So I had to change some c# code to make the program work again. It is fine now.

I didn't find any other issues yet, so you've done a good job!

Thanks! I'll will check the issues again.

Fixed issues: =d>
- mapping a drive works again, but see Others below!;
- the scrambled title in de add/edit condition is readable again;
- if I click on 'About - Register' I can register again;
- groupboxes are now all the same.

Not fixed: 🤐
- the color fade from the menubar in 'Server / Show Log' differs from the fade from the menubar in 'Server / Time Exeptions'. I think the time exeption one is getting it colors from the choosen Theme, and the Show Log isn't;
- still miss the tooltip in the 'Server / PGP key rings' for: Export key(s);
- alignment of data in dialog boxes aren't the same for some screens.

Others (new): 🤦
- mapped netword drives are not showed. After a insterted mapping I close and open the screen and it is gone? I think it is still there but it is not showing. If I want to add one more, the drive letter is substracted by one, so there are still made mappings, but just not shown;
- if I click on 'File / Check for updates' I see in the server log: "Error setting proxy settings: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I don't have proxy settings set, that might be it. Don't know if this is a serious issue though;
- I installed the software over 4.9.11 and now I have the message directly after starting the client: "Can't find native library! Please install the native library to your local directory or to your system(32) directory." Messagebox title: "'VisualCronClient_nat.dll' not found!". I had the file on a different server, so I copied it and after that the client started with the 1st setup of the client;
- if I change the server name in the manage servers window, it isn't changed in the grid. A client restart solves this.
- the Stop/Start server button works on all the connected servers. The server tab has a server name between brackets, so only the named one should stop/start. But if I check on the other server with it's own client, the server isn't stoped / started at all? So it looks like only the localhost is stoped/started.
- if I right click on a job, the context menu gives me two Adds, The 1st should be Add Job if I recall, but if I click it, it gives me an Edit title?;
- I have two server connected in my client, if I add a job, it is added to both of the servers? If I look at the other server it isn't there. Looks to me the multiple connected servers isn't working the right way.

Still some work to do I think.

Best regards,
Erik

We have fixed the installation problem and updated the download. We did not notice it ourselves because we had that old file there on all test servers.

About multiple Servers. You add the Job to the currently selected Server (in tab and in combo). Not both.

We will look at the rest of the items today. Thanks.

Hi Henrik,

I missed the checkbox 'Is a local server'. So I thought I had entered a different server but I had two local servers added with different names.
You might have only one local server in the list, it's better to check so only one is posisble.

The faults mentioned before regarding the start/stop and adding a job to one server and it shows on two are not an issue anymore.

Erik

[edit]
Now I have a different message:

Error when checking for update: System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.SocketsException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because host has failed to respond 85.229.25.173:80

I am using a http proxy to access the internet. Trough a browser I can surf over the internet with these proxy settings.

Have you tried entering the proxy settings in the Client settings?

Also, please try the latest version (4.9.23) and check fix for Network drives.

I downloaded the setup, but it still gives me 4.9.21. So I stopped the setup for now.
Are you sure the download is 4.9.23?

Network drive fix is great! It is working now (4.9.23).

For the update check I used the wrong proxy settings I think.
I changed the server proxy and clicked on the update button, but I should have enterred the proxy in the client settings.
Now that I changed the proxy settings in the client I have this message:

Error when checking for update: System.Net.WebExpetion: The operation has timed out.
