I just upgraded to 6.0.8 (from 6.0.7) and am now seeing a change in how the VisualCron backup job runs. The export settings task still runs successfully, but rather than inheriting the permissions of the backup folder (we write the file to the default location), it is using custom permissions for the VC-Settings.zip file. This in turn is causing the second task in the job, which I added to copy the export to our SAN, to fail because it cannot access the file.

Is this change intentional?

The OS on the server is Widnows 2008 R2 Std SP1.

Not sure what you mean by inheriting permissions. We have never copied a file when making a backup. We read the current settings, the in-memory ones of the Server, and then write it directly to a file.
