Setup:
VisualCron runs on our main production server.
Files used for triggering jobs reside on a separate server.

Error:
Triggers are deactivating due to connection issues with the other server. My assumption is blips in network connectivity is disabling the triggers when it cannot communicate with the other server.

Questions:
- Is there a work-around for this?
- Best practice: should all trigger files be on the local VC server?

- Is there a work-around for this?

Yes - increase "On error reconnect attempts" and "On error reconnect interval". By default the current combination only gives a total a 15 seconds of reconnect attempts.

- Best practice: should all trigger files be on the local VC server?

It should not matter as long as you increase the reconnect to handle downtime between servers it should not be a problem.
