I looked over the manual and a bit of history in the forums looking for a reason a File Trigger would deactivate on its own.

Does the trigger deactivate if it cant reconnect on "x" number of attempts?

I saw where one can setup email notification on these and I am testing that out, just curious if I can prohibit a trigger from deactivating or the reason you shouldn't do that.

Thanks

Hi paulnus,

Yes, if a trigger looses his connection it tries to reconnect using the reconnect settings. The only way is to enlarge the retry attempts so that it deactivates later. You can not stop this from happening.
