I have been running VisualCron for some time now with no issue's. The last two days I have received the following error message while running a purge job, delete files greater then 180 days in age. There are hundreds of thousands of files in this folder, so it does take some time to run, but have never seen this issue before.

Exception in Task: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.

Is there something I can supply to get some insite as to why this is happening, or possibly the cause?

Let me know and I will supply, I need this issue corrected.

Note: I have not been able to restart the environment as it is a production environment and cannot reboot randomly.

thanks

How many files is it exactly?
What operating system do you run? Servicepack?
Is it 32 or 64 bit?
