Hi,

In the Certificates view, there are a few columns like 'Common Name' and 'Issuer Name'.
When you select a certificate for a FTP connection, there is a column called 'User' which contains the email address.

I like to see this 'User' column in the main Certificates view next to the 'Common Name' and 'Issuer Name' columns.

Why?

I have a few certificates loaded, but they all look the same in the main certificates view. The 'Issuer Name' column is empty. The 'User' column contains email addresses and they differ at my site, so I know which one is which. Now I dont and it could happen that I delete the wrong certificate.

Or is there a better way to do this?
- Showing the filename?
- Give the certificate a name during the import? (I like this one)

Regards,
Erik

What about adding column organization name? Other property of certificate to show as column?

There is no connection to the original filename when it has been imported.

I think giving the certificate a name during the import or after (so imported certificates can be renamed + backwards compatible) is the best option here.

In my case I'm already helped with the 'User' column from the certificate.

I'm not sure how many columns there are, but you might want to show them all. Than there can't be any mistake when deleting a certificate from the list.

Are you talking about the property CommonName?

There are about 50 properties of a certificate and we need to choose which to show wisely.

In the FTP connection task, you can select a certificate. There is a 'User' column. This column I miss at the main certificate view where you in/export/delete the certificates.

In this main list my certificates all look the same.
So being able to give it a friendly name during or after the import this will not be an issue anymore. Than it's up to the enduser how to name it.

It might be easier to show some more columns though... ;-)

Hi,

This is still an issue. It would be nice to see the valid till date of the certificate.
We have certificates which we need to update frequently, now I can't see when I imported the newest, which is which.

Still I think the option to give the certificate in VC a friendly name, the best option.
