🤬 🤬

Hi,

First of all, many thanks to all replies on my last (and first!) post espically to ErikC. I managed to lean how to understand the variables and create email and log file based information output/notifications.

Now....

I need to create an email notification for a process or task to check a folder for a file at a certain time. So say the task checks the folder;

* If there IS a file, the task ends with no notification
* If there ISNT a file, the task need to email out that "there isnt a file etc"

The task doent copy or move the file just sends out a notification based on file existence.

I'm fairly good now with email notfications, but cant think of how to achieve this task (and if I use conditions).

Any help would be a lifesaver!

Regards,

Tim.

Hi Tim,

I think I get the idea of what you want to acheive.

If you create the job as an email job you can add a condition on a file.

In the file condition properties there is a drop down in the "match" section called "file exists".

You can change this to True or False so that your condition is actioned if the file is there, or as you want, if the file is not there.

Hope this helps.

Toni.

👍

Thats it. Just create an job that emails you telling you there is no file.
Than add the condition to the email task telling it only to run when there is no specific file.
