I have been trying to install VisualCron 5.5.6 without success. The VC service will not start on the server. The server environment is Windows 2003 Std. I also tried to install it on a Windows XP desktop and had the same problem. Maybe I have a bad download? I was able to get 5.5.6 working by upgrading from 4.9 to 5.5.6, but a new install of 5.5.6 would not work and an upgrade from 5.5.5 does not work.

I believe I had the same issue with upgrading from 5.5.5 to 5.5.6, but with a server reboot it all works fine.

I believe your problem was specific to that virtual machine you had. Did you install on other machines?

I tried installing 5.5.6 on a Windows XP workstation and had the same problem. I don't think it had anything to do with the server.

I would guess then that there is some vital update that is missing on the server. What is the difference between your working server and non-working?
