Hi

We are using version 9.6.0 of VisualCron and I want to have a mirroring by syncing folders. I recognized that however I did the settings, if the newer file has a smaller size it is overwriting it with the old file. The only setting I found, is to have it look on newer or larger file, I can't set it to newer only.

I did some tests and started to do the sync only in one direction and even then it is not updating the old, large file with the new, small file, although I gave him instruction to do so (with make source as master). I tried the settings in all possible combinations and couldn't manage that the sync is updating such files. The weird thing is that when a file becomes smaller and I finally delete it on the source folder, it doesn't delete it on the destination folder. Having this sync working properly, at least in one direction, would help us, as we are planning some server migrations, where we can't move the full server in one go.

I do a full folder sync without variables: sync folder A with folder B. To start it I created the content of folder B with the sync job.

Can you please check and advise what to do?

Thank you

Susanna

Hi Susanna,

Please send us an email to support@visualcron.com and include information/refer to this thread, attach a sample job that reproduces this behaviour (a simplified job with as few dependencies as possible we can reproduce from)
