Now we see the reason for that type of handling. When we test on Windows 2003 the locked file is never released by the system. Can you see if you create a loop on your system checking if the file is in use - if it falls through when the file has been copied?

Actually, our answer was not great at all. During our testing we found that Windows 2003 never released the file.
