I'm absolute beginners in VisualCron, so be patient. 😊
My system: Windows 7 Sp1 64-bit - VisualCron 5.8.0

I can't work with notifications. Any other tasks works fine.
If I active notifications for a job (I know that they are global), Windows show me "Interactive Services Detection" window. This is annoying, because to continue, I must clic on "Show message" to see the text message (notification), otherwise the error message show up every 5 minutes.

but I don't understand if this is the same problem.

In the VisualCron manual, I read "Foreground execution" works only for "Execute" command.

Any workaround on how to show a simple text message on my desktop? Or do you plan to fix it in a recent version?

Oh, yes, sorry. I'm talking about Popup notifications.

Ok, the popup notification is an old legacy Notification. A lot of things has happened since then. Since Windows Vista these warnings come if an application on another the service session (0) is trying to show something interactive (like a popup).

In the beginning the popup notification was just there to verify some testing as Interacive things like popup is not very much related to background work- which VisualCron do. That is why we have waited with changing this popup behavior. Because it is possible, technically, to specify where we want (to which user and session) we want to show something interactive. In fact, we already do this when we use the Execute Task in Foreground mode.

Please let us know how you want to use the popup and why? Because, I assume you don't want a lot of popups on your screen when logging on?

I would simply show a popup message (remainder) for deadline, or for example: "Remember today the appointment with John."
But maybe there's an easier way to do it with VisualCron?

Is that the only thing you want to use VisualCron for? If so, that is not the "intended" usage for this product. For that kind of usage we recommend scheduling something in Outlook or similar.

If you do however want to use VisualCron for other functionality as well we could create an executable which you can call from the Execute Task that includes parameters for the text you want to show.

I never said that!
I was testing VisualCron and, of course (at least in my honest opinion) I wanted to start with a very easy task, before exploring the more complex than a simple reminder.

In my opinion, an application with such complete functionalities shouldn't get caught up in the small details with a simple reminder.

For years, I was looking for a complete and powerful application as VisualCron and finally I found it. And I thought that would be able to meet all the needs of scheduling, even simple ones. That's it.

Finally, I'll create a batch file and e simple ECHO command to show my message.

I agree. A popup that works normally would be a great addition for testing. Right now we are working on looping functionality but we will try to make a Popup Task after that so testing can be done more easily.

Ok, english isn't my language, so maybe I didn't explain myself well.
Mine, did not want to be a negative criticism; I think VisualCron is, at the moment, the most comprehensive and powerful scheduler at software scene.
