Is there a way with Visual Cron to send an email alert to the administrators if a task or job can not start because a previously running task/job has not completed? For example, if there is a job that runs every 1/2 hour, but it is taking :35 minutes to complete, the job can't start on time (i.e., 9:30am job can't start because 9:00am job is still running).
thanks

We could probably add this as one subitem in the VisualCron event Trigger. It would be quite generic == only Trigger if it can't start the Job if it is already running - no special logic except that.

Would that be OK?

I am moving this topic to feature requests forum

that would be great. any way to add a variable for # of times missed (i.e., allow it to miss one run but not two -- something like that)?

Adding that require more logic and a place to store the information. We'll keep this request for a while to see if we get more feedback on it before start doing any changes.
