I cannot get VC Tray Client to start, either manually or on a server restart. It just shows the red x

If I go to Start> Administrative Tools > Services I can see the status of VisualCron is 'Stopping' and it has been showing this status for some time.

Any help would be appreciated.

It seems like the service start up alright and running. So the only problem right now is the try client not connecting properly right? Because, the purpose of the Tray Client is to connect and retrieve and publish information from the server service.

It could be a permissions problem. Could you try stopping the VisualCron service, exit the tray client. Go to VisualCron installation directory->Settings. Now delete the Users.xml file (this will delete all current users and default back to only one user with default username "admin" and a blank password) - if you don't have a problem with this it is worth a try.

Then start the service. Wait 30 seconds and then start the tray client.

Ok, I did that. I restated Tray Client and it still shows the red x.

If I double-click the Tray Client icon it opens another instance of VisualCron.

The Server> option shows Status: Not Connected. Both Start and Stop options are greyed-out

Ok, open the normal client and go to File->Manage client settings->folders->click Open on log folder. Now, please attach all files to a mail to us.

Something has happened to the communication channel on your server. Is it possible to reboot it - it will most likely fix the issue.
