I have various clients installed on workers computers and we run off 1 centralized server where visualcron is hosted. On the client side, i use active directory to validate each user for to use visualcron client

For the notifications area, when a job completes, I have it send out an email to multiple groups summarizing the results. Is there a variable I can put in the notification email that contains the users username? Right now if i use the username it just outputs SYSTEM like it is retrieving the variable from the server and not from the client running the command on their own box.

You mean if the Job was run manually you want to know the username of that user?

Yes. I'm assuming you would be able to tie who logged in manually based on their log in with who "executed" the job. Is this possible?

Right now we log to the normal log file when a Job is being run and by who. There is no other way (except using the API) for retrieving this particular log and maybe use it elsewhere.

I assume you want the log in your system in some way or do you just want to look back later - maybe looking at the normal log file would do then?
