I have setup three email triggered jobs and tested them individually as well as separately . They have been working fine all day but when I get in the next day the triggers are in active. I did see a error when I originally setup this jobs that the email account that the mails are being sent to is locked. I was logged on at that time and saw the error if this is the same error maybe i dont see it because im not on the server at the time this happens. Could someone please give me some ideas on why this could be happening?

Thanks

I tried editing a trigger now and it got inactivated , I have attached the screenshot of the error as well, This shows that it is due to the email being locked somehow. Maybe someone could please tell me if this is a error in the way im setting up the trigger or is it on the mail server side seeing as this email address gets 100's of emails during the day.

Use IMAP instead. POP3 can only be accessed by one user at a time for some mail servers.

Ok we set it to imap4 now and I got the error that I attached. It sent through 60+ emails although i sent it only one. From what i think is that this is old mails on the mail server that matches the criteria for my trigger and is sending because of that. But I did set "delete mail of server" on my trigger so that should never use the same mail more then once.

I am also having the same issue with the email trigger.

Even when recreating the trigger, and even the job, it fails with the same error as soon as it is triggered, and sometimes restarts the VC server. The original trigger did work, for a period of time, and now cannot get it to work again, even after recreating the trigger and even the job.

What happens if you try to watch an empty folder instead of one with many emails in it - do you still get the error then?

We deleted all mails from that mail box and my triggers didnt deactivate again. Did a test mail to check trigger and it worked. Next thing to do is wait till a few of these triggers are triggered at the same time and check if the trigger deactivates.

Hi guys,

The jobs ran over the weekend , one of the jobs is still active but the other two arent anymore although they now fail with the result "no receipients were specified but my email address is in the field. The one job that is still active has the same email address in it.

I setup a vcron job to delete all mails in this mail box after 5 minutes so that vcron when deactivated and reactivated it wont go thru all the mails and start sending like crazy. But now my triggers still deactivating.

The error indicates that the host was down for a period. Please check the logs of the mail servers for system messages and connectivity.
