I have the 5.7.0 test build that you sent me to fix the HTTP over proxy server keep-alive problem. I've added a second task to check the output of the HTTP and notify me if it's not the right web page. Now, I want to test the whole job. When I do, the result and last run update on the job line (it shows success), but I don't see any update in the lines for the individual tasks.

I guess I'll modify my HTTP request so I know it will fail (I need to test that anyway) and see if I get the notification or not, but it would be nice to know that I can look at the tasks in the UI and know which ones ran for a given instance of the job. I have to think this is a bug, or do the tasks only update if they ran per schedule or trigger, and not when testing the job?

Thanks,

What about last executed column?

Perhaps you are using a Condition on the Job that exits the Job before running Task?

The first task in the job *has* no conditions. I do'nt think. Let me make sure I out the consition on the right task, but I'm pretty sure I did.

BTW, I jsut tried running the HTTP task again by itself, and the line is not updating, either.

Nope, the job has a schedule trigger and no conditions
The HTTP task has no conditions
The output check task has a condition based on the output from the HTTP task

When I right-click the HTTP task to test it, I see the hourglass on the job line, not on the task line, and the job fails and I get my job failure notification e-mail. Nothing is updated on the task line - it still shows yesterday's successful test.

1. Could you restart the service and reconnect? Do the problem persist after trying to run it the second time?
2. do you have any problems with other Tasks?

It may be related to my remote client not having had the 5.7.0 version installed (it was still on 5.6.8), and then I installed it just now client-only (it had been server/client before). I'm thinking I upgraded it because I wasn't seeing the status changes with the versions mismatched. When I installed the new version on my remote client, I did not do a server restart at the same time. Is that something I should do routinely?

No, but the different version may be related this time.
