New user here, so please bear with me.
I've been attempting to configure VC to do a simple FTPS file transfer/receive with a server outside of our network. I have set up the connections, the routing statements, verified the path statements, turned off the Windows firewall, and created credentials for this processing. I have also set up the user account in the local server and defined an email account for it.
I have attempted to test this file transfer/receive with a .crt file which was converted to a .cer file but that didn't work, so I dismounted the certificates that I had loaded and stopped referencing them. The vendor on the other side assures me that we should be able to touch their server without a certificate file loaded, and that it should "auto validate".
I do get an email message that I set up "FTPS login successful" each time I run the job/task but it does not appear to me that this is working despite VC sending me the message by default after the attempt is made.
So, I can't get the FTPS file transfer to work for me at all.
It always fails with the "SBSimple FTPS:EE|FPTSError: Control Channel Transfer error" message. I do not know what I'm doing wrong but I don't think its permissions as I can execute a script using CuteFTP and reach that server and login without any difficulty.
I need to resolve this as we'd like to purchase this tool but if we can't get it to work we won't obviously be using it. It looks like a cool tool and the scheduling part of this is very attractive for us.

This is probably related to the encryption settings of the transfer. Try switching between "Explicit" and "Implicit" FTP.

I did as you suggested, but now I'm getting a different error message, "Unaccepted server reply (error code 530)".

What type of FTP server is it? Brand and version.

Our server is running on IIS 7.5, so it would be Microsoft FTP service 7.5. Vendor is running Filezilla 0.9.34 beta.

We will test this here and get back to you. Please tell us more about your FTP server security settings.

Thank you very much for looking into this. I just discussed this with our network guru and his comment was that essentially we are not using the MS FTP server, but relying on Filezilla to perform the transport function for the FTP process. This is true whether we do standard FTP that is not encrypted (which we can't as the vendor's server is set up as 'encrypted') or SSL. I do not know what settings they have on that server, but I suspect that they loaded a base package that was readily available to have SSL available. They are a smaller company, and we are one of the first customers to use SSL to send files to them. Is there anything on my side that I can change to further test this? I've dinked about with every setting that I know of and tried all combinations but I'm open to further testing if this resolves it.

1. Please send screenshots of all your filezilla settings (with this FTP connection) to support@visualcron.com.

2. please try to get server name and version from end user FTP server is not IIS 7.5

Thank you VERY much for helping me resolve this. Not only was the login information corrupted, but the IP was a better solution on the Connection profile. Also, I learned that the path statement can be generated (copied to the clipboard) by running the task in test and then copying it. That is IMMENSELY helpful.
I now have the send/receive via FTPS working well and we will purchase the product.
