1. I assume that your SuperVision Job was added after the problem came?

2. The problem might be related to the Clients connected and how they disconnect

The Client on IP 10.13.62.158. Did he logoff by himself? Did anything else force the logoff like computer restart?

I certainly hope you are able to get this identified and fixed. We are looking for a replacement for the Windows Task Scheduler, which has started behaving very similarly to what is described, and with increasing frequency. We don't want to buy a replacement that has the same problem. :-(

For those having the problem, is there any possibility that a task you are running is lapping itself? That is starting, when another instance of it is still running?

Hi, if you mean :

If you don't want a task be running at same time after a crash.

Per example a task that run every 5 minutes but don't have to run if the precenet task is still running.

Don't know if it happend to me yet.
But I think it will run twice

Henrik, when visualcron is configured to do not run a task is the precedent is still running, is visualcron looking for the state in visualcron program or the process state on windows ?

And is there a way to list task that have been missed after a crash or a stop ?
and select what task I wanna run

Realized that it will be hard to do if the task isn't an exefile.
But the solution will be to show task jobs that have been launched and wont' give any return status

Yes, this is normal as it is the same minor version number. Uninstall first. Settings will remain.

Not your particular error as it never notifies the system about that.

Yeah, but at visualcron start, if missed job or job started without return are checked, ti will be a really great evolution of your application.

maybe this might be post in the Feature requests topic ?

The client deconnexions in the logs must be the firewall between client and server wich close connexion when there is no transaction after 1 hour

Kind of. There are for example, some database jobs you can run, that if you start the job a second time while the first time is still running, it can cause database deadlocks, that in turn freeze the process that called them, and just generally make a mess with scheduling.

So, my question is, if you have any jobs that do *not* have the flag set to not start if an instance is still running, and that have the possibililty that perhaps two instances are running simultaneously, and if that might be something that happens immediately before the crash that you are noticing where the VisualCron server becomes unresponsive.

BTW, my assumption is that the flag in VisualCron refers to the VisualCron job. I think you can separately set a condition based on a process monitor, where you could check if a specific process is or is not running before starting.

Hi

I am having the same issue described in this thread with version 5.6.2
Do you confirm that version 5.6.3 fixed it? Do you need a detail report on my side?

Thanks

While you upgrade, use latest 5.6.8. which includes the fix.

Hi,

no more service crash, but another problem.

I ran a task and the server crashed after an hour running, because of a lake of space.

My task ran 1 hour, and work only with les than 600Mo.
But the folder c:\documents and settings\All users\Application Data\VisualCron\output grows up to more than 7 Go;

Why ?

What are those xml file and the file without extension.

My visualcron is stell in debug mod, is it that ?

Can I delete those files ??

Please make a new post instead of adding new things to this post as it is not related.

The output size should match the original size. You can safely delete it. It is a cache file if you want to use the output Variable later - but I guess you don't want that.
