Is there any special procedure needed to go from 4.6.27 to 5.6.2 and keep tasks and settings? My inclination is to run the big Windows update and then to install Visual Cron 5.6.2 over the old version, making sure (of course) to create an image backup for emergency rollback. Are there any warnings or suggestions for a smooth upgrade? Also, please confirm my reading that the version upgrade will require purchase of a new license key. Thanks .... Stan

Hi Stan,

generally, you should backup your settings folder. There are a lot of changes which you can read about here http://www.visualcron.com/Documentation.aspx  in the topic "Upgrading from VisualCron 4.x to 5.x".

You need the Maintenance pack in order to upgrade to version 5 which is $47 per server and gives you free updates, major or minor, for a year.
