I am trying to use this to logon remotely to a server which I wish to do a certain job after I have logged on

The task requires that I am logged on whilst this process is running.

The LOGON seems to work but in the event log I get this message

Task Log Richard on status Waiting result Unhandled exception in Task: Operationtimed out: Login

Can anyone advise on this

Forgot to mention this is on a windows server 2003 machine

Logon workstation works for the same computer that VisualCron is installed on. You wrote "remote" but perhaps you meant the same server as VisualCron is installed on.

By this do you mean the client or the server application

the client is obviously installed on my PC

however I want to login to the server remotely and run Internet Explorer and keep it logged in to run a particular web software application

Is this possible?

😕

Yes, on the Server it works great.

1. do you have a very long login time to your desktop?
2. is the VisualCron Tray Client started when logging in?

1) Not aware of one - tried changing the time out and that did not work

2) On the server - not really sure - it is there when I physically log in and have a look but it does sometimes have a little red x on it

Currently it has about 30 seconds to login, start the VisualCronService.exe and connect with the Tray Client. That red cross needs to disappear (when it is connected) - if that has not disappearead it can't receive messages and in this case Execute in the Foreground.

We will try to increase timeout because currently it requires to do everything within 30 seconds. We will post here when we have a new version.
