Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone has seen these errors before:

7/1/2008 8:00:11 AM Debug Failed to close output file: C:\Program Files\VisualCron 4\\tmp\1df7ba1c-f9d9-49fa-a7f6-f0f199c6ce88, err: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files\VisualCron 4\tmp\1df7ba1c-f9d9-49fa-a7f6-f0f199c6ce88' because it is being used by another process.

7/1/2008 8:00:11 AM Debug Failed to close output file: C:\Program Files\VisualCron 4\\tmp\2d33c557-bf93-4f72-b145-c69215989a8c, err: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files\VisualCron 4\tmp\2d33c557-bf93-4f72-b145-c69215989a8c' because it is being used by another process.

There were a bunch of these messages that got written to the log around 8:00 AM CST. I've sent an email to one of my network administrators inquiring as to whether our anti-virus system would cause this to happen.

Does anyone know what these files are used for? I'm assuming these are used for the jobs and then deleted. Right now there are 18 empty files with these names in the folder (0 KB in size).

Peter

Hi Peter,

this is not a serious error. The files are deleted from time to time. We have not found the cuase why these files are locked for some users. But you should not worry about this.

Henrik,

The jobs that received these errors did not send emails out to the recipients. There are several foxpro programs that use SMTP to send messages and attachments (reports, spreadsheets, etc.). The problem may be because there were around 10 tasks scheduled to run at 8:00 AM yesterday. Staggering the task execution times seems to eliminate the problem.
