Is there a generic method of getting parameters from the last task run, within the same job, i.e

Instead of using {TASK(e7d33f84-a261-4fd7-afbe-95b377d66ac0,StdOut)} where "e7....c0" is a specific task Id, is it possible to use {TASK(Last, StdOut)} or something similar, replacing "last" with appropriate word.

We have a number of jobs which are all doing similar things in checking data consistency, the output of each is directed to an email where the body is essentially the SQL output. It would be very handy to just be able to clone these as generic tasks.

There is no generic method of doing that - yet. We have had requests about adding a PrevTask. That is something we could do and we will add this to Feature requests forum.

One thing to add is that this Variable will only be available when the Job is running.

Hi Henrik,

Is this enhancement anywhere near the top of the list.

I have a lot of jobs where I email the result and I have to keep changing my email task within the job to specify a TaskId.

The {PrevTASK,StdOut} or {TASK(PrevTask,StdOut)} would be a huge benefit.

The PrevTask Variable has been added in this version. Please note that you have to replace the Task id with PrevTask.
