I was playing around with the Timeout functionality in the Tasks, and noticed that it does not work. Has anybody else found this? The Job Timeout seems to work with no issue's however.

As well, if the Task Timeout kills the task, is the task considered a failure? In the Job Timeout tab, I noticed there is an option to consider the timeout as a failure, but this is not true in the Task portion.

thanks

We tested this on the Execute Task and it works as expected. Which Task did you test on?

Yes, we have some different settings on Job Timeout. If you want the same settings on the Task then please request it in the Feature request forum.

I was testing this on the Archive Task. I would set it to 0-3 for testing, the job itself runs around 12 seconds. Even with the Timeout set, the job completed with no issue's, taking the full 12 seconds of time.

I will note that I am currently using version 5.1.6, I plan on upgrading as soon as I can get approval to. Not sure if that maybe an issue here or not.

thanks

Yes, if it is one big file that you are trying to archive it may not be interrupted until that file is complete.
