I just installed the latest release of visualcron on a Windows 2008 server named rockit02, but I can not get a remote client to access a server. The client on the server connects fine, but I can not get a remote connection working. I also tried installing the server on a Windows 2003 server, and I have the same behavior for a remote client login.

I am using the default admin account and password for now. I kept the default server port (16444).

When I try to connect from the client (on my workstation) I get the following error message in a dialog:

"Connection failed to 'rockit02'. Connection failed with error 'Failed to connect to an IPC Port: The system cannot find the file specified.' Do you want to try reconnecting?"

Any suggestions?

You have configured the Client (on your workstation) for local connection. Edit the Server connection and uncheck "is local".
