We are thinking of adding a Notification/Task which uses API from either Clickatell or Bulksms. Don't know if you have any preference.

We like to have a hardware solution, like adding a GSM modem to the server. These are web based servises?

We could also add serial communication support in VisualCron - if you wantt send a certain message over a COM port. No one has asked for that yet.

hmm, at this point I think we are going to use a solution with sending email to a specific email address in our company. This mailbox is polled and sends (sms) the email message to users who are enterred in a strickt format in the email.

I'm not stopping you though to implement this. There might be someone else how is interested in this?

This is an old topic, but hey..

[=feature request]
We have a Wavecom Modem connected trough a COM port used for sending SMS notifications. (not a VisualCron server at the moment)
Could be nice to add the serial communications to communicate to this modem.

We also use services like sending emails to a email=>sms system so SMS will be send, but what if i'net isn't working. A hardware solution is a better and robust way of sending SMS.

Am I still the only one which thinks this is a good feature?

Regards
Erik
