we have VisualCron service running as Domain Admin, and we noticed that sometimes some xcopy fails if we don't force that task credential as Domain Admin as well.

Is this normal behaviour or is just a problem related to xcopy?

Second, if the service is already running with some credentials, is it necessary to force specific tasks with the same credentials?

If the service is already running with the appropriate Credentials you should not use any Credential.

If it fails sometimes it might be something else. What is the error you get?
