I use unc mapping for my file paths within my jobs. However, now we are updating the UNC path to another location. Is there a way to do a mass update. For example my current path is \\test1\Public\Filename and i want to change it to \\test2\Public\Filename. I tried the object text search/replace, when i look for \\test1\ it finds all the file paths, but when i go to replace it to \\test2\, it removes the whole file path and just leaves \\test2\, with no other file path. I tried updating the job.xml file with a find and replace but it does not seem to update the UI. Is there something i am missing? I don't want to use a Virtual Network drive.

Hi, I think updating the job.xml file in settings folder should solve this issue, do you restart server after save this file? I suggest you double check.

I tried that with restarting the server. I however did not see any changes in the UI to reflect the changes I made in the jobs.xml file.

Actually, the jobs.xml file gets updated to reflect the UI, so the changes I make at the job.xml level get overwritten.

Figured it out. First I exported the settings. Then opened the Backup Zip file and edited the Jobs.xml file and then imported the updated Backup.zip back into VisualCron. Worked perfect. No need to restart server either.

May I suggest making your base path a User Defined Variable, then reference that in the jobs. If it ever needs to change, you simply change it once in the GUI at the server level.

That is a fantastic idea, never occurred to me. Thank you. Also, for my solution you do need to restart the server.
