Hi

I read in your version 9 mail that you are planning to make a mobile app. That's awesome! I know estimates are hard for these kind of things, but do you have a rough idea for when this will be ready ? q1-q4 2020, or later?

So, there are different features of the Mobile app.

1. For Notifications. There will be a specific Task for sending a Notification to your device. The idea is also that this Task should be able to interact with the answer so you can post a question like "Should I run this?" and the user can answer Yes or No.

This will probably come in January.

2. Server status. The idea is that you can publish your Server details to the cloud and see status on your phone.

3. Server control. It is similar to above but that you can perform some basic operations against your Server.

2 and 3 will probably come in Q1/Q2 of 2020.

There will probably never be a full blown native mobile app as we are working on responsive web client instead which will work in any browser. Hope this answers your questions. Do you have any other requests/feeedback?

Do you have any update on mobile app or features related to using VisualCron on smart phone? It will be of great help. Just the ability to see the status of the jobs and start/stop jobs will go a long way in helping us support our applications that rely heavily on VisualCron jobs.

Hi Ketan,
It sounds like you may have misunderstood the purpose of the mobile app. If you want to run the client from the phone, you will have to use the web client via the phone, you won't be able to run the client via the app. The app will be more for push notifications and things like that, and further down the road, add some more remote control via the app but it won't be anything like the client itself.

We don't have any ETA on it currently as we have a lot of larger implementations and projects that are high priority right now

Mobile app create an iphone and android  app has become an increasingly popular way to provide customers with useful, convenient and easy-to-use services. It is important for businesses to consider how customers interact with these apps and design accordingly. Creating an app that is intuitive, able to handle a variety of user interactions, and offer a unique user experience is essential for success. Furthermore, businesses must also ensure that their app is well-maintained and updated regularly in order to keep customers engaged and ensure they receive the best possible service.
