5.3.0 - flow chart, Job grouping and bug fixes - VisualCron

In this release we present the flow chart which will give you a more detailed overview of your Job. The flow chart can be accesed through right click menu and Tools->Flow chart. Please let us know any findings you may have. If you find something that you think is not working properly please export your settings, tell us which Job and what you think is wrong and send to support@visualcron.com.

The requested Job grouping has been added in it's first stage. We will add multiple selection in later version.

Please also take a look att Object search and Relations located in Tools. We have provided a way to see which global objects (like Notifications, Conditions, Credentials etc.) are in use and where.

Also we have an object search so you can search internally after strings located within Job and Task objects.

Just downloaded ver 5.3.1, but it appears that it thinks that it is still 5.2.2.

You need to update the version number or update the download link. :)

Btw, really nice with the object relation listing. A tool that is greatly appreciated

Hi,

I installed 5.3.1 and now my tasks are giving the following error:

I do not what account it is referring to because this job/task does not have a user set up for it to run under.

What kind of Task is it? It is probably a Credential that is not valid (a username or password that has changed)

It is just a copy files task, it used to work ok.

D:\ is fine and the share \\zeus is accessible via explorer fine, \\zeus does not need any credentials as it is mapped with a user/pass using net use.

You cannot map it that way because mappings are not shared across users. Your service is probably running as SYSTEM and do not see the mappings. Try changing the username for the VisualCron service.

Hi it has always worked in the past.

The Visual Cron service is running under AU\Administrator (who has domain admin rights). The share is mapped under that account. The problem we face with the share is, the system is non-windows - it is an IBM as400 share that can only be mapped using net use.

It is something with that user that you use as the system it is saying that that account does not exist. We have not changed anything in this area.

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

About the first error (flowchart). Are you able to export your settings and send to support@visualcron.com?

About FTP error. It seems more like you are using explicit when implicit should be used. What is the name of the FTP server?

I will email the settings tomorrow. The ftp is now working due to some security settings at the server side, so no issue anymore. Had something to do with blocking my IP address at the application (ftp server) level.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
