Hi

I've encountered a bug in the file rename task.
It occures when the folder you're moving the file/files to have dot's in the folder name.
Ex:
File: Test.tmp
Destination: c:\temp\xxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xx\*.*
The moved file in my case becomes tmp.tmp.

I've tested this in 8.2.1 and 8.3.7 with the same result.

Might need more info on your task settings as it working for me in 8.3.5.

Also this should be posted in General Problem Solving.

Hi

I did the same setup in a copy task just to get around the error I'm experiencing.

But back to the main issue

I've made a test task setup as follow
rename-bug_1.png

rename-bug_2.png

Result

c:\temp\test_1.txt > c:\temp\000000000000.00000000000.XX.SE\txt.txt
c:\temp\test_2.txt > c:\temp\000000000000.00000000000.XX.SE\txt.txt
c:\temp\test_3.txt > c:\temp\000000000000.00000000000.XX.SE\txt.txt

Not much room for different setups, how did your test look like?

Getting same error on 8.2.1 and 8.3.7

Oh I just realized you moved files via a rename task. I used the copy task with no issues. I believe that is what you need.
