Hello,

I'm trying to use yahoo messenger with the Instant Messenger task, but i get the error:

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

I have set up a connection with the details:
name: yahoo
username: my_name
password: xxx

then in the task, i am selecting, the connection above, yahoo protocol, and the recipient, recipient_name.

but i get the error above when running. anything else i need to do to get it to work with yahoo?

pretty sure the answer is no, but wanted to know that it works one way (messages to be sent out, but not received), correct? it does not take incoming instant messages and allow processing of that?

Yes, right now only outgoing. No received messages. That could be a future Trigger to implement. If you need that please describe it in forum Feature requests.
